"Zig Deco Zag" by Julia McLeod was made by overlaying sheer fabric on top of of regular cotton fabric.
Zig Deco Zag features a technique where Julia overlays sheer fabric over cotton prints using Free Fuse powder. Since you can't make a quilt with sheer blouse weight fabric, Julia fused the sheer fabric to quilter's cotton and then pieced it with very simple half-square triangles to create a depth and layering you wouldn't normally see.
