"Yukata Bee Quilting" by Paula Doyle won Second Prize in the Contemporary category at Festival Quilts in Birmingham, UK.
It was quite the journey for Paula to complete Yukata Bee Quilting, as she began experiencing health issues at the start of quilting it, and it almost didn't even make it into the show! "I completed the quilt entry forms while I was in hospital, and finished quilting the quilt with just a week to spare until it needed to be shipped off to the show! The quilt was made using 4 panels of a vintage Yukata block print and the Easy Stack technique for a Bright Hopes block I demonstrated when I came to visit the show Colorado in 2018." Paula is now doing better and we are very happy to congratulate her on a much deserved win!
