"Winter Work"was made using a botanically dyed and printed vintage linen cloth, along with hand-made wool and silk felt, and lace. It was hand appliquéd, beaded, embroidered, and quilted using cotton and silk threads and freshwater pearls, stones, and a wide variety of glass beads. Since Lisa lives in a place that features strong winters and lots of snow, there is a definite season of being indoors, and that's when she likes to do a lot of her hand stitching, hence the "winter work" of the title.
