A UFO that had been left for a few months on the shelf, and continued when inspiration came back again.
With my original sketches at the start and with multiple manipulation on it, the central medallion was formed. It is a quilt with turned edge appliqué with embroidery over it, over 31,000 beads and crystals were applied to the quilt and the border is beaded as well. It also includes paper pieced elements, a beaded round shape with fabric center. etc.
Won Best of Show for Quilt Canada, Canadian Quilters Association in June 2021.
