Artist Statement: "Many of us are raised to believe that there is a certain path that we are to follow. What happens if we break free and go a little wild? This quilt explores the diverging path through modern improv piecing and bold color play. The motif of the traditional Flying Geese block is used to explore the idea of breaking free. The block is represented through piecing and ghost quilting."
