"Whirly Bird" is a bright and beautiful silk quilt by Gale Carson.
With Whirly Bird, Gale wanted to show how well silks can go together in a quilt. More than anything, she wanted to display how light interacts with the silk and how at any angle the silk will connect with the light in a different way to always create a new appearance.
