"Whirling Dahlias" by Colleen Butler won 2nd Prize Contemporary Quilts at The Festival of Quilts Birmingham 2022.
Artist Statement: "This happy quilt started with a Dahlia UFO that I made at least 8 years ago to which I added Prairie Points in circles. I learnt this technique in a short class a few years ago with Rachael Daisy. The quilt just evolved from there, each step requiring thought as to how I could put it together."
Technical Information: "My quilt contains some regular piecing, appliqué, binding strips, prairie points, suffolk puffs and buttons."
