Hexagon kaleidoscope blocks connected with equilateral triangles create whirling movement in this queen size quilt.
Enthralled by Paula Nadelstern's kaleidoscope quilts, Josephine was determined to make her own; however, after following Paula's method of fuzzy cutting each piece in one block, she knew she hadn't the patience of Paula, so cut the rest of hers with the stack-n-whack method and sewed them together with paper piecing. The blocks are Josephine's original designs.
This quilt was raffled in August, 2011. Proceeds went toward funding the provincial house of the newly formed Province of Africa of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
