"Where Did All the Blue Skies Go" by Angie E. Knowles was inspired by a lyric from a Marvin Gaye song.
When creating this piece, a line from one of Marvin Gaye's songs, Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology), resonated with Angie and became the title of the quilt. The line and title, Where Did All the Blue Skies Go, are a reminder for us all of the environmental changes that the world was going through both then and now.
