Western Flamingo - A friend was moving from Minnesota to New Jersey. I made two of these quilts...one that faces "east" and one that faces "west". The background was constructed using the technique in "Simply Stunning Woven Quilts" by Anna Faustino. The flamingo is an original design using many pink fabrics and thread painting. The "facing east" flamingo hangs in my sewing studio. The "facing west" flamingo is in New Jersey with my friend Pam.
