This is made from several layers of hand-dyed, ice-dyed silk fabric, with a faux chenille technique for texture.
This quilt is inspired by the ocean, which is a recurrent theme in my fiber art. For me, the ocean instills a deep sense of relaxation and exhilaration simultaneously, as it engages all the senses. Who can resist the luster and sheen of silk? The ice-dyed aqua colors are enhanced with a faux chenille technique that further replicates the undulation of ocean waves.
