Warhol Pugs - This was made for a coworker who has an older Pug. I played with the picture in PhotoShop - desaturated it, then posterized it, then adjusted the hues to get the Warhol-like colors. The four portraits were placed and sized in Adobe InDesign and printed on fabric printer paper and fused to batting. Two thread colors, a light and dark, were used to threadpaint each portrait. I fused the black "borders" and then the backing was added and pillow-cased turned. The piece was then hand-stitched to a painted stretched canvas.
