Linda Beach made "Waiting Out Winter" the last winter that she spent in Alaska.
Waiting Out Winter represents the anxiousness that Linda felt to move on and get out of the cold and snow of Alaska. In her mind, while the tree is dormant and waiting for winter to end, there is still life inside waiting for spring to return, and that is why the tree and its branches are rainbow-colored.
