Gail SmithI am drawn to two-color quilts and wanted to replicate this version of the Vortex quilt that was originally done in red and white in 1905. The modern technique of foundation piecing made the process much easier. The high visual impact won enthusiastic support from my young grandchildren, which made it a joy to complete.
