Village _ Integragion Tryptic
Village _ Integragion Tryptic
In Village, I depicted a characteristic rural Latin American village, reimagined through a cubist lens..
In the 20th century, Latin American artists incorporated elements of European modernism, such as cubism and surrealism, adapting them to local traditions to reflect their unique cultural and social realities. Village reflects rural everyday life.
I am working with a combination of hand-dyed and commercial cotton and silk, employing raw-edge appliqué and machine quilting techniques.
