Inspired by the pandemic started on day the pandemic announced. EPP & hand appliquéd machine pieced the blocks/border.
This quilt started when friends and I used to sit and sew together once a week at her mothers house. My friend designed an adaption of the middle part of the quilt. I used her design and made it my own with the fabrics and placement , covid 19 being the incentive, then as the year carried on it had variants added. Once we started with waves I found fabric that depicts this changes in the omnicrom. The outside fabric, reminds me of the vaccines that our populations are accepting to save our world.
I work in an emergency as a ward clerk and have seen much changes in humanity. Hopefully we will all think of others more rather then our cocoon we ARE all in this together
