"Value" was created by Blair Stocker as a way to help her students to coordinate their unrelated fabrics.
When people would come to Blair's upcycling classes, they would often ask for guidance and direction on how to create a design out of the unrelated fabrics that they brought. This quilt, Value, was the solution to the question her students were asking. The quilt takes little scraps of fabric and divides them up into different values from light to dark, thereby creating order out of the chaos of the mismatched fabrics.
Artist Statement: "This is my favorite kind of quilt. Scrappy, showing off dark and light values of as many fabrics as I can find."
