Tyler's T Shirt Quilt

A combination of Baseball T-shirts and Uniforms with pictures of Tyler.

"Tyler's Quilt" highlights a love of baseball, from the "diamonds" right down to the labels on the jersey. It was hard to get the "beloved" Uniforms and T-Shirts to make this quilt. Once he decided they would be better preserved in a Quilt than hiding in a closet or drawer it was a bit easier. I realized that to Tyler, the Uniform was especially precious, so I asked him "what makes it so special?" "It's an Easton" he told me. He could tell I was clueless about how important this was. So he explained that Easton did baseball uniforms for "the Big Leagues". That's when I learned that the labels are an important part of the t-shirts and may also deserve special treatment. See if you can find that label! I added newspaper articles and pictures and still needed a few more items. I decided on "Seminole" style patchwork to create Fields of Green on a blue background to accent the pictures and t-shirts and pulled and printed a few stock photos of baseball items.
