Artist Statement: "The inspiration for my art comes from nature and our travels. I reflected on past travels during the pandemic remembering our special trips. This quilt, "Tulip Splendor" was inspired by my photographs of our visit to Kuekenhoff Gardens in the Netherlands in 2019. Even though we still cannot travel freely, I can always travel through my art. I used silk confetti, tulle, hand dyed organza, batiks, and wool in the making of this quilt."
