Tricuspid Biomorph #1
"Tricuspid Biomorph #1" by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry won Outstanding Machine Stationary Quilting at Road to California 2026.
Artist Statement: "For Tricuspid Biomorph #1, I resurrected a series of doodles I drew in 1995 based on radially symmetrical hexagons. I placed the hexagonal shape in a rectangle and played with it, extending the lines within the hexagon to the edges of the rectangle and tweaking them until I had a line drawing I liked. I filled the spaces between the lines with color gradations and images of fabric which I hand painted with dye."
