The Rose of Bon Secours

The Rose of Bon Secours

The Rose of Bon Secours represents Summer, because roses naturally bloom during Summer, and was inspired by the Flemish master of still life, Jan Frans Van Dael. It is the start of a new series for Nancy, and was done slightly differently than her previous work as this time she worked with a grid. The painting part of the quilt was created using Cherrywood fabrics, while the frame was made using a Hoffman fabric and Shiva Oil Paintstiks to turn it gold.
