The Lord is my Shepherd
The Lord is my Shepherd
"The Lord is my Shepherd" by Kathy K. Wylie was created from her interpretation of the Shepherd's Light Block.
Kathy writes of The Lord is My Shepherd, "The design for this quilt originated with the discovery of a block named "Shepherd's Light". I developed the shepherd theme by incorporating imagery from the 23rd Psalm." She sees the quilt as a turning point for her, with her moving into appliqué in a serious way after making it. Kathy views it as a transition from quilting as a hobby to quilting as a career. Using paper cut appliqué in the quilt, Kathy found a love for the technique and started to explore different ideas with the paper cut blocks, leading to the publication of her first book called Sewflakes.
