Artist Statement: "My mom, a computer programmer/rocket scientist, worked on NASA/JPL's Voyager Missions which traveled to the outer planets. This year is the 45th anniversary of the launch and still sending data. Applique/piecing and free motion thread painting is used to recreate this poster which was commissioned by JPL/NASA in the WPA travel poster/art deco style."
