Artist Statement: "The Cow Abstractions Quilt is the first pattern in Violet's Farmland Series as a nod to her roots in the American Wild West. This particular cow muse, however, is a northern California dairy cow that Violet met on a trip to visit a friend. She comes right up to the fence to greet you and she always has a wonderful bit of gossip about the herd. The Cow Abstractions quilt features a stylized, abstract representation of a cow with mountains in the background, capturing the essence of these iconic farm animals.
This foundation paper pieced quilt is made with one striking large scale block perfect for a wall hanging, baby quilt or incorporated into a larger quilt design and finishes at 54" x 62"."
