Robin Long
Tarnished Star
Tarnished Star
"Tarnished Star" is a quilt Robin Long made by mixing traditional elements with her Mariner's Compasses
Robin placed the Mariner's Compass in a Lone Star design for Tarnished Star and added some quarter compasses to surround it. Robin used Tim Holtz's Abandoned collection from FreeSpirit Fabrics to get that antique-inspired look throughout the quilt and provide it with an aged, from-the-past appearance that just gives off a glow when you view it. The quilt "features a fussy cut center medallion nested inside gloriously colored stars and surrounded by pieced diamonds and appliquéd ribbons in a show-stopping queen quilt."
