This 40" X 40" raw edge appliqué art quilt was inspired by Carol Morrissey (Show 2710)
While out for a walk in the forest with my grandson, he stopped and said " Take my picture, Nana." The picture had interesting contrasts in value. I had watched Show 2710 last year and thought I would like to try the technique. I used a Cricut Maker to cut the hundreds of prefused fabric circles as small as 1/2". Anything smaller than that had to be cut by hand. Straight line quilting with a walking foot in a simple crosshatch gives the quilt a modern look. It is hung in my front hall in a floating framed made by my husband
