"Swirl" by Lorraine Woodruff-Long is a love-letter to improvisation and is part of her Polychrome series of quilts.
Lorraine loves scrap quilts, and Swirl is a quilt that she made from lots of pieces left over from a couple of quilts she had made for other people. With a love of improvisation, picking up pieces, putting them all together, and seeing where it takes you, Swirl was the end result of this improvisational journey for Lorraine and is a part of her Polychrome series of quilts.
