Original design made by freehand cutting and layering fabrics in a collage style. Primarily raw edge applique.
This quilt is a commission for a client who was moving into a new home. She requested a wave, a specific size, and colors to coordinate with an oil painting she owned. We have never met but communicated via e-mail with photos and text. As with all my commissions, I ask the client to choose a name meaningful for them. Swept Away is the chosen name.
