Artist Statement: "This is a celebration quilt created in honor of Elena and Seth's wedding. The design features a pieced sunrise representing the joy of the days ahead and a compass for the journey they choose together. I hand painted and discharged fabrics for this project in order to build a pallet of diverse patterns in similar colors and because it's fun."
