"Sunny Vale" by Kate Colleran is the sampler quilt featured in her book, "Patchwork Braids".
Sunny Vale shows off all of the different techniques that you can learn from the book Patchwork Braids. Designed and pieced by Kate, and quilted by Lisa Soderborg of The Quilted Cricket, it is named after a flower like the rest of the quilts in the book because Kate wanted the book to fell like a garden of quilts, with Sunny Vale being the final garden. It features adding squares, pieced strips, different strips of various sizes, fun star blocks, and more versatile techniques for a quilter to work on and expand their quilting capabilities.
