Sundown Cityscape

Sundown Cityscape

"Sundown Cityscape" by Pam Raby is based on Tula Pink's "City Sampler".

Pam Raby created Sundown Cityscape not knowing how she was going to quilt it. Only when she dove headfirst in without a plan did inspiration strike and another fabulous quilt was born.

Artist Statement: "Sundown Cityscape is my version of Tula Pink's City Sampler pattern which I taught as a block of the month class at the Pine Needle in Lake Oswego. Much like a recipe, I consider a quilt pattern a starting point to tweak, nudge and change as suits the maker. I encourage my students to stretch their wings and make each quilt their own.

Quilters pour so much heart and soul into their work that I believe they should proudly sign the front, as do other artists. I designed a signature block for each of my students ... a beginning idea for their own maker's mark. Look for my signature block on the front!"
