"Stars and Stripes" by Mark Lipinski was made for the Quilts of Valor (QOV) project.
Mark's quilt, Stars and Stripes,was made for the Quilts of Valor (QOV) project that he participated in with Alex Anderson and Eleanor Burns for Iowa Public Television. The quilt was meant to be made in six hours by a beginning quilter, and the inspiration was Mark's Prisoner of War (POW) bracelet that he bought during the Vietnam War. The bracelet bore the name of the POW, J. Quincy Collins, and this quilt was eventually gifted to him as part of the Quilts of Valor program.
