This quilt made in three sections expresses what the title says: the spirit of the School Sisters of Notre Dame at Mount Mary University. Key buildings, the statue of Mary, and the seal indicate the university; grape vines and emblem (cross, circle and M) indicate the religious community of SSND which founded the university. A glowing sunrise tells us the spirit is alive and well. The quilt hangs in the university library.
