Karen Lambdin
Spiral Vortex
Spiral Vortex
"Spiral Vortex" by Karen Lambdin was inspired by Carol Morrissey's "Exaggerated Pointillism" technique.
Artist Statement: "I love the idea of using fabric to create depth in design. I was inspired by Carol Morrissey's dot technique on this spiral design. I used a Go cutter to cut the fused circles and carefully placed them in a color wheel spiral. I then designed a fun border to finish it off. It was quilted partially on a longarm and pebbled on a sit-down machine."
