I enjoy designing original quilts and I often use EQ8 to cut down on trial and error. This quilt started out in pastel colors and was supposed to be a summertime quilt until the black and gold fans snuck in. The border and the white blocks werelongarm free-motion quilted and then painted. The printed gold branches on the black background inspired me to quilt red stitched leaves.
