Arist Statement: "This design plays with optical blending. I selected six main colors which are then blended with 15 shades of white, grays, and black to create an ombré effect using only the solid colors pieced in 2,160 individual 1/8" stripes.
I hope from afar this quilt looks as though it is made of six simple rainbow stripes of gradient fabric. However, like paintings of pointillism or printed newspapers, there is more to see the closer you get."
