I saw Susan Cleveland in person, once at a quilt show in Fargo, North Dakota, and again near Portage La Prairie, Manitoba Canada. Her
attitute is infectious, and she holds your interest at all times always accompanied with a marvellous humour.
The rust and green in this quilt are made with drapery fabric, the butterfly material as well as the dresdan's are made of quilting cotton.
Of course, you can't make a Susan Cleveland pattern without some bobbles somewhere on it, hence the wooden circles at the points of the prairie points. Then to finish, a few hand embroidered butterflies, here and there.
