Sam - I met Sue Olsen of Dog Gone Quilts at the Houston show shortly after my dog died. She had patterns of other black labs, but they didn't say "Sam" to me. From photos, Sue designed the Sam pattern, and as soon as I opened it, I could see MY dog! The quilting is a scribbling technique that is super fast and easy. Sue has become a good friend and she has treated me to several one-on-one classes in her studio.
