This was a block swap many years ago with quilted friends when Fons and Porter had a chat group
I found the background and complimentary fabric from a store that closed. This was the best time to try a new technique for me in hand quilting after 30 years called big stitch when you are used to small stitches it is hard to retrain yourself to go big
I will do this technique again and so glad I have these memorable blocks in a quilt
