Artist Statement: "I took a course on optical illusion quilts, and one of the techniques was to play with block sizes. I just happened to drop the Cut Glass Dish block into the existing blocks and was amazed at how well it worked. I played with color for quite a while before ending up with this design. The border was an afterthought, but I love how it makes the design stretch."
