Rio Grande Valley Holidays reflects two of my loves. The first, my love for the spiral lone star from Jan Krentz's "Lone Star Quilts & beyond". The lone star is one of the symbols of Texas. The second, my love for my new home in Pharr Texas. Pharr is in the Rio Grande Valley. Our home is about 7 miles north of the border with Mexico. All our holidays have a strong Hispanic influence and are exuberantly celebrated with fireworks.
