On a full moon night in early spring, I spotted a

flock of swans returning to the northern country. I

was impressed by them flying so low that I could

almost hear their calls and wings. That scene

inspired me to start making this quilt. In my quilt, I

connected 14,500 triangular pieces of various sizes

to express the starry sky. I appliquéd a flock of

swans heading towards the full moon on it, and I

embroidered snow crystals on the border.
