"Reflections" is a group of four quilts by Carol Ann Waugh that hang side-by-side and feature hand-dyed & painted fabric
Carol chose to paint and hand-dye her fabric because she wasn't finding the fabric she was looking for in a commercial area. For Reflections, Carol wanted to have both the vertical lines and the horizontal lines separated out, meaning the dyed and painted fabric design moves vertically and the stitching horizontally. As a result of this, the piece gets more and more complex as you move up and down each quilt.
