Artist Statement: "Looking out of the octagonal window, there is a world of snow reflected in the blue. I wanted to express warmth while using only cold blues and whites. I was able to add glamour to the tranquility with a variety of materials. The cloisonne pattern quilted all over the sky is one of the unique Japanese auspicious patterns and represents happiness, so I wished for peace in the world and happiness for all people."
