This fused quilt depicts red-crowned cranes against a background that echoes the colors and feel of Japan scrolls.
In 2020, I was commissioned to make a quilt for a dear friend to give to his wife on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The wife's niece, a wonderful graphic artist, created the design; I made a few modifications to promote ease of construction; the recipient and I agreed on a color palette.
