Puzzle Quilt - One of my quilt groups (the Lone Mountain circle of Desert Quilters of Nevada) did a block-of-the-month with the traditional block, St George's Cross. We used the same block every month, just changing the placement of our four fabrics each time. This is a great study in the drastic differences that can be obtained by judicious use of color (and value!). I just can't resist going small, so I pieced my blocks at 3 inches.
