Artist Statement: "This modern quilt is part of a series where I am trying to get a 3-D effect with geometric shapes and bright colors so popular in the 1950's. I envision it as pyramids with stiff ribbon like shapes folding and piercing through them. I have continued the ribbons into the background quilting design. It is English Paper Pieced, double batted and free motion quilted on a domestic BERNINA."
