Colorful fabrics and whimsical designs are featured in this Jen Kingwell designed quilt. Starting with the Jen Kingwell pattern, I made a few changes to the layout that seemed more pleasing to my eye. The blocks were constructed with a combination of machine appliqué and traditional piecing. The appliqués in the inner border were made using a prepared edge technique and then hand appliquéd. I left out some of the pattern shapes and added others of my own. All of the colorful fabrics were from my stash.
