PePe - PePe joined our family in 2005. He has become my constant companion and my "heart dog". After losing our rescued greyhound, Anna, to a seizure, I desperately needed another canine companion. PePe fills the bill. He seemed like an appropriate subject for the first in my pet series. I started with a drawing of PePe and reviewed my fabric collection to bring him into focus. Photos of PePe printed on fabric with an inkject printer are featured in the border. I had just gotten my new Aurora 440 and had to try out the available stitches. After the image was appliqued, I felt it needed further definition, so I couched black pearl cotton around the figure.
