In celebration of my sweet Bichon's life, I made this quilt to honor Pearl and share her gifts and personality with you.
Pearl...my beautiful, funny, loving, quirky best friend...I made this quilt to honor her, her life, to allow viewers a glimpse of her personality, and to capture and keepsake the love she radiated daily to me and her world. Everything in the quilt is a happy reflection of her favorites...a day at the beach, daily walks in the woods, as well as her adventurousness, her radiating spirit, love, thankfulness, and happiness, her love of sniffing flowers, her "best personal color"-pink, and my hope for her continued spiritual journey. Please read the back of her quilt. Her body outline is highlighted in white amongst her story on the back...signifying her spirit telling her story to you. This is my first attempt at an art quilt. It was both heart wrenching while simultaneously healing to work through the process of creating this quilt and saying "goodbye for now" to my sweet little girl. I love you Pearl!
